Any one know a supplier for the metal part of the sliding roof ?

  Original Chummy trim panels

Opinions as to their originality? While the rear panels have the holes for the screws used to retain the sidescreen pins - they are missing from those on the door?

  Milling machine

My apologies for wandering from A7 affairs, but just in case anyone is looking for a milling machine, of the less-expensive Taiwanese-built type, this is the best of the bunch - and appears to be in little-used condition. Correction - the machine was built in Korea.

D type rear axle pinion angular contact bearings
Posted by: Dave Mann - 19-01-2021, 10:22 AM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (7)

Had a phone call query yesterday from an owner with a spare rear axle where there was a gap between the pinion angular contact bearing housing and the torque tube. I've not come across this problem, are these special narrow bearings?

Looking for location of '29 AE Tourer
Posted by: Erich - 19-01-2021, 12:33 AM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (1)

Hi All,

I've received an email from a friend regarding a friend of his who owned an AE Tourer. His friend had the car in the 1970s and would like to find out what happened to the car. Does anyone know of this car? It may have been shipped to the US at some point.

Any help is appreciated.

Erich in Mukilteo

  A prototype destop background

I've been playing with a little post-AI colouring enhancements - and we now have a green prototype and some other more minor improvements. The location of the original photograph is known (it was donated by the Grocer, Mr Hands) and the "owner of the knowledge" hopes he'll be able to get a higher resolution copy.

  Replacement for Girling Brake Drums
Posted by: dchw1975 - 18-01-2021, 11:33 PM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (7)

Hello All,

I know that there are no newly cast replacement Girling drums available but I have been thinking if there are any other 178mm diameter brake drums that could be altered to fit?  What are the various dimensions of a standard Girling drum, i.e. apart from the internal diameter. I think the important ones are centre hole diameter, external diameter, stud spacing, braking suface width and offset.
