A prototype destop background - Tony Griffiths - 19-01-2021

I've been playing with a little post-AI colouring enhancements - and we now have a green prototype and some other more minor improvements. The location of the original photograph is known (it was donated by the Grocer, Mr Hands) and the "owner of the knowledge" hopes he'll be able to get a higher resolution copy.

Heavily retouched, this illustration was used in later editions of the original Motor for the Million catalogue, replacing a different shopping image used in earlier issues. See 306E 1924 edition in the Association's Archive.

I wonder if the original was taken on a 10" x 8" glass-plate? It does have that "look" about it. If so, the detail captured would have been stunning.
