Clutch repair |

I think I may have to have work done on the clutch (1932 engine mated to a two synchro 4 speed box) due to a sudden failure of the engine to connect to the gearbox. I am removing the engine & separating the box to see what the condition appears to be, but can anyone point me at somewhere who can rebuild the clutch in the Midlands? Or who to avoid!!!
I can dismantle & reassemble, but don't feel the urge to rebuild things myself (apart from lack of skill, space etc!!)
By all means send me a pm if you don't want to go public with information.

AE Chummy Rear Wing Wanted |

Hi all,
I'm looking for a passenger side rear wing for an AE type Chummy project. I'm specifically looking for the rarer style that goes with the totally flat running boards, as opposed to the more common type that have the running boards curved up to meet the wings at each end. Any pointers or leads much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rupert

Help with selling Austin 7 |

Hello all
I am just feeling the water at the moment as to what we may do with my late father in laws Austin 7. At some point in the near future (months) we will need to move it on and unsure where to start for reasons that will shortly become clear.
He has (we have been told) 1 full car but it is completely dismantled and in various places around the property (indoors) I am not mechanically minded so have no idea what goes with what, (there are other cars and engines too) there appears to be more than 1 of most things, engine, chassis etc but only 1 body shell.
We are based in Sussex and wondered if there were any experts locally who when the restrictions are over could come and take a look to help us out, we are happy to pay for the advise. Or maybe there is a specific club we could talk to?
Any advise at all would be welcome.
Many thanks
Tim

differences in interior water channels in blocks? |

Acid-treating two blocks presently.
The 1934 one now has about 3mm clear, clean "pillars" of water channel between the cylinder jackets as viewed from the side. The early core-plugged one (with the additional brass plugs Tony mentioned were from the casting process) has been soaking and I pulled it to note that the rust seems to have gone but there are much less distinct channels between the cylinders, with more metal at the base of the cylinder jacket.
Are there distinct differences in block interiors? Clearly I can get it with a dremel, but I'd like to know what is structural and what might not be.

Removing Ulster body |

Hi All,
I'm about ready to take the body(CC) off my 1930 chassis for some work on both chassis and body. I intend to take the steering wheel off, and the pad for the brake pedal(the other two pedals are completely removed). Wiring is mostly off or disconnected and engine and gear box are out. Is it possible to remove the body without removing the handbrake? If so, I assume lift up carefully at the rear and pull the body back, up and off. Correct?
