As Grey Mag editor I have received notification of the Fairthorpe Sports Car Club's annual Specials' Day at the Cotswold Wildlife Park at Burford on 11th August.
It's a bit late for me to get it into a Magazine - the next issue, 2019C, is on the stocks at the moment, but will probably not reach you until August at the earliest - so I thought I would publicise the event here.
They normally get around forty to fifty cars, and would welcome an increase in Seven specials attending.
Details from Derek Bentley on 01273 493041 or from the Club at www.fairthorpescc.com
I have posted this in the Events section, but I know many of you don't go there, so I'm repeating it here.

How long do you think it would take for the float chamber to empty once switched off, left it a week ,crank over on handle ten times still takes ages to fire, bowl still empty, manually fill bowl fires instantly., once warm starts first time every time, any ideas ?

Apologies if this has been covered but I couldn't find the relevant info.
I have just fitted new rear brake linings on my 1925 Chummy and it was very tight getting the drum back on and the wheel is very tight, I have removed the cable and this doesn't make any difference. Any thoughts please.

Good day all.
I'm not familiar with the early cars c1923/4 but were they fitted with a steering wheel that clamped on rather than the splined type?
Regards from a very sunny Staffordshire.
Stuart
