New Resources posted on the Archive Web Site
Hello all.. I would just like to draw your attention to a major update that has taken place on the Archive web site today. This is work that has been a long time coming, mainly as those involved were distracted by the Centenary and/or earning a living. In fact, I should make special mention of Chris Charles who does the nuts and 'IT' bolts on the web site who has had to put up with my constant witterings over the past few weeks and months. However, we managed to get a tranche of work completed today.
Engineering Drawings:
This section of the site has had a major overhaul with new images of older scans now appearing, duplications removed and a more coordinated series of descriptions that has lead to a more sensible ordering of the images.
Brochures:
Over that past months, we have been acquiring new Brochures and have been steadily digitising them. Today, we have released the following list of new items for your edification and delight. We have also tidied up some bugs in the listings and, more importantly, dealt with the ordering of the entries that gives a more sensible date arranged list.

I have a pair of new, old stock Nippy headlamps for cars made between 1936-38, Lucas L133's.
They have the solenoid dipping unit on the n/s and single filament on the o/s. Due to age the reflector silvering is tarnished. Cost is £395 incl p+p, adverised here before ebay.
Please email me at stuart.joseph@btinternet.com for photos.

Sump & Axle drain Plug |

Yesterday having drained my sump I refitted the brass drain plug only for it to shear the plug thread. Luckily I was able to unscrew the sheared portion of the thread.
My question is what is the thread of the sump drain plug which also the same thread as the axle drain?
To avoid a further issues I'm looking at purchasing a steel drain plug.

Is this getting annoying yet? I'm sorry if it is!
Wing stays, window winders, a Speedometer 1060 tpm but with the same reference as the Nippy one, a temperature gauge (sadly the ether has escaped into the ether) and some studs that look a bit like they might be front engine mounting studs?
Please let me know if you recognise anything (and/ or would like it)

Are the lengths of the front and rear alloy suspension links the same on the Ruby? I have two different length links for the rear and a spare pair of matched front links. Can I just use the spare front links on the rear?
Regards,
Jamie.

Black Paint |

At some point I am going to refurb the front suspension. Many cars I see and loads of photos seem to use a glossy black paint, although some look more satin in finish (not matt). The area in question is a mixture of black paint and rust - in other words standard A7.
What is recommended to refinish? Do I need to sand-blast it before re-painting? Is there a primer free product? Is brushed or sprayed the best?
