I have had some excellent advice re my clutch issue, suggesting the clutch bearing may be binding on the gearbox nose and thus not releasing the toggles. I shall investigate this before taking it out. One can live in hope!

Happens a lot, particularly with trials cars, Hedd. Lubricate the release bearing via the funnel lubricator (and, therefore, hopefully, the gearbox nose if the hole in the release bearing housing that leads the oil to the gearbox nose is clear) and work the clutch. If that is the problem, usually solves it.
