What have you done today with your Austin Seven
At the end of last week i found this "Press" listed on market place for next to nothing, so headed over and collected it yesterday - As you will see its agricultural spec but is very sold and well made, but sadly the bottom roller / anvils are missing but iam sure i will turn some up online if i start looking, does anyone have any ideas where best to start other than Ebay?

This week I finally got all my spares organised on shelves in a dry garage within spitting distance from home again (a rented garage set up similarly sprang a leak in Feb 2020), and therefore could also bring one car back back home.

So Saturday I spent the morning loading a 'slip' at the shed with its new owner (the slip that is, not the shed), and drove the RP home (missing like hell!)

I hopefully found all the Seven spares in that shed too. Pity I dont have a van!

I stopped for lunch in town, and a middle aged gent identified it 100% as a Seven aka 'Baby Austin'. top Marks.

It is now in the spares garage, though this one will live in my garage at home once that is tidy (later in the week). It feels like it needs a condensor, so will look at that in due course.

Yesterday, I dug the chummy out changed the oil and the three of us went to the event at Klondyke Mill at Draycott in the Clay. The journey there was a bit wet, but the hood on this chummy leaks far less than the last one (in fact the hood doesnt leak, but the gaps do!).

The 6 inch drummed car was an interesting car for me. Is the AD body correct for a car with 6inch drums?

Yes, there was a period in 1926 (something like February to September from memory) when the new body was fitted to the older mechanicals.

Assuming you have a lathe scrap merchants will often sell odds and ends. Curious that the lower roller so much smaller., unless there were two in a cradle. For a larger roller many brake discs have a heavy cupped centre. Two could be keyd and bolted together. Brake firms have scrap piles.

You can buy whole sets of bottom anvils relatively cheaply for making your own wheeling machine, you may need to alter the lower cradle slightly to accept them but otherwise straight forward.

If you plan to use that machine for wheeling you'll have a job polishing that top wheel! Mirror finish is generally what is recommended. For anvils there are several eBay sellers, some of whom will make to order...

Ive had a look through ebay, and think the way forward will be to buy a set of Top and Bottom wheels and change them over onto this frame - then i just need to spend a few nights on youtube learning how to use the thing!

It'll take more than a few nights on YouTube! I've had a wheeling machine since 1998 and I'm still learning although I use it regularly. It can be astonishing how much difference a couple of thou' makes over the area of a panel.
I was given to understand that the apprenticeship for this machine alone is up to five years, working with an experienced wheeler

Started to wire the rear lights on my Ruby.
At present fitted with old type rectangular wing Lucas single filament bulbs.
These are a bit fragile but seem to be working on 6 volt.
Also one central stop and tail fitting on the spare wheel cover.
Just wondering is this standard for Mk2 car ?
