I agree John, we have a lot of quiet lanes around here and fly tipping is a real problem since the local tips have stopped accepting certain items...fly tipping of tyres is a growing problem as well.

I took half a dozen worn tyres from my box saloon to the tip recently, like a good citizen, and it cost me 18 quid!

I doubt a domestic tip will take them (mine won't)

Luckily our takes them for free, some times they take your address, I would think to keep tabs on how many you take?

I was turned away from our tip with four wooden pallets, on the basis that a pallet isn't "domestic" refuse.

The following day I was back with a boot full of wood, which apparently isn't a problem.

I must admit I was recently told off for putting a small tree trunk in the wood skip! Apparently its garden waste!
