I used to enjoy Man About the House and I'd completely forgotten those opening titles. There is actually a short thread dedicated to it: Chummy in "Man About the House" series.

Yes, all Melbourne, mostly on St Kilda road & Swanston street, in Melbourne CBD. the parklands are along the Yarra River south bank leading up to Government House.

looking at the fashions, suggests mid 30's
