It might be that a small batch was assembled in 1945 but, if so, these would probably have been on the Super-de-Lux stand. http://www.lathes.co.uk/myford-ml2-ml4/img5.jpg

Hi Tony

Thanks for that info.  My stand is a quite substantial home made job that came with my old lathe.  You may also notice that the tray is from the short bed lathe not so subtly modified with a steel plate to take the long bed mountings  Smile.
