The micro switch is one I had in stock and rated at 5 amps at 250 volts, and every time I'm in the workshop the motor is run to see if the switch will stand up to it's new use, running free with no wiper it pulls 0.75 amps. There are 4 options for mounting the switch which is held to the steel plate by two 8 BA screws into tapped holes in the plate. Only one option works where the switch terminals are clear of everything, you can see a couple of tapped holes in the plate which didn't work. I have visited the RS components website and found a few potential switches which would do, more to follow when this mod is proven.
