Yesterday we returned home from the Northumberland coast after a few days break. I was pleased to find that a group of eight cars from the Bristol and Cornwall Clubs were staying on the same camp site at Beadnell Bay, enjoying a touring holiday. Here they are about to set off on a 85 mile day trip to Alston. Many of the cars had dogs as passengers, including the Pearl which had two Border Collies, one an adult dog and the other a pup. My other half Margaret asked me why I never took our two Border Collies out in the Austins. I told her that it would not be fair on them with the noise, cramped seating etc. The truth is that if Gus was in the front he would want to sit on my lap and if he was in the back I would probably get his breakfast down the back of my neck.
