No joy contacting Seven Workshop. Not answering the phone and no response via email either. Do any alternative suppliers stock these items?

Hi John

Custom Chrome sell ‘Cherry Bomb’ silencers that are about the right size. They can make them with whatever diameter inlet and outlet pipe you want. Not exactly one for the purists but they do make quite a nice noise. I have them on both the C Cab van and the Special both Short wheelbase cars.

Thanks, but I'm really looking for an "authentic" system, as close as possible/practicable to the original factory-fitted items. The Seven Workshop ones look ideal, but I've spent the last week failing to get through to them, so wondered if these items are unique to SW or more generally available from other suppliers?

The Seven Workshop, I found out on Sunday that Jamie is very ill , so this why you would not get a reply.

Austin Seven Components is usually the other likely supplier for most things.

Thanks guys, and for the heads up regarding Jamie. I'm not desperate, and have a back-up plan (a "sports" silencer that I know will fit, but is noisy), so might deploy that as a stop-gap and hope that I do eventually get a response from Seven Workshop.

And David Cochrane is very reliable.

The tailpipe, which is fixed on the silencer, turns inwards under the car not out in front of he back wheel, which counter-intuitive.

The Seven Workshop is very much up and running, the whole family are involved in it and they all had a holiday for the school half term very recently.
