I went out looking for a gallon of paraffin, having a greasy job to do. 
At two shops the staff didn't know what paraffin is...
At the 6th shop I tried I found some - £16.97 for 4 litres!!

The children who now run the world have not heard of many things Chris. At a restaurant the other day I asked for a doggy bag. The look of puzzlement on the waiter's face was worth the price of the meal.

That particular 4 litres is still sitting in the shop, needless to say. I expect I'll manage with what I have around the place. Since I will evidently never use my "Aladdin" stove again, I may as well drain that out for a start!
