Agreed Bruce, but it seems Jamie has a welding company on-board. I see now that the welding company are against welding this so let's hope a replacement turns up.

I'm at Stonehurst on Sunday Jamie and will keep an eye open for one. Problem is it would most likely be part of a cross-shaft assembly, you don't often see them wandering around alone.

I have a special in bits based on an early 30s chassis. It has bowdenex front brakes and a mini hand brake so doesn't use this bit. I can't tell if it's fitted with the one you want or this earlier one...

The only problem is, although it's redundant, it's likely to be a pain to remove. You're welcome to bring a spanner...

That said, if you measure the length of the levers and the diameter of the shaft you might persuade me to have a go.

I wish I hadn't started this... it is almost impossible for me to access and measure. The big hole is 27mm... if you don't find one anywhere else, and if you successfully make me feel guilty,  I may take a spanner to it yet.

At the risk of sounding like a right old f*art, if you really can't find one it would be possible to make one out of some stout BDMS bar. Very tedious, lots of mess, lots of blisters, lots of swearing, but still possible...
