What have you done today with your Austin Seven
Not sure if this qualifies, but I looked at mine yesterday.

It counts if you scratched your head or at least furrowed your brow Dave.

I added another box to the pile on top of it .. I guess that doesn't count, either.

Thought about it, but as the car is in Worcestershire and I am in Pembrokeshire.......

I looked at mine too. Here it is, sitting patiently with the rest of the family waiting for the end of lockdown and better weather:

I guess someone had better do something! I knocked up a radiator cross-brace for my Nippy.
Against all odds I seem to have got the angles about right. Still needs some fettling and a coat of paint.

Following the naughtiness of the Polo last week, last Thursday and Friday, the Seven was pressed into service as my 'daily driver'. On Saturday, having been over to feed the horses, I sorted the VW and washed the Seven, which looked (again) as if it had been trialling.

After:

The weather here in the fastnesses of North wales has been seriously wet and windy for the last two days, and, given that my garage  can be a cold miserable hole in such weather, I have busied myself with things to do indoors. However, this week, I shall I intend to get to grips with the front brakes and try to cure the one's tendency to grab (see my thread on this point).

Following the fettling of the brakes to cure the brake grabbing problem (see my thread on this), I took the car up to the agricultural merchants on road test and to collect some horse food. Whilst I was there, an old farmer probably in his 70’s icame over to see the car and wistfully remarked “ My dad had one of these.”

After the best part of a fortnight of horrible weather, it finally dried up today. Not sunny, but dry enough for a run round the block. The RP hasn't been started since late October, but has been on the Accumate to keep the battery topped up. It started first pull.

I did a round robin of about 25 miles and the car ran perfectly (as it usually does) although I think I'm getting close to the day when I have to so something about my droopy driver's door. It came unlatched twice, but probably because I hadn't closed it properly in the first place.

Not many people about, and it's saddening to see all the bars, cafés and restaurants all closed. Here's hoping for better things in 2021.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

I look at mine every day but todayI clipped on the crocks and switched on the charger as it hasn't been started for a while. Perhaps New Years Day will see a ride out...
