A friend recently spotted this when passing through Disley.  It is on display at a local garage there.

Anyone know the car, please?

Coincidentally with Robert's RN, has anyone a repairable pair, or even one, Front Wings to suit a '31 RN?
Asking for a friend.
TIA.

Time Warp 1931 RN Saloon for Sale.
Posted by: Robert Foreman - 29-07-2024, 08:48 PM - Forum: Sales - Replies (1)

An RN saloon that has been off the road since 1960 and in my ownership since 1998.
Never been restored, even the driver's Moseley float on air still holds air. It even has the car number stencilled under the bonnet.
Very solid and the engine turns freely. It was missing the windscreen but I have all the parts to make a correct one. I would like someone to NOT restore it and sympathetically get it running again. It has a non transferable V5 in my name.
The price is £3,500.  PM for more information.

Smiths MA Speedo - fixing nut thread?
Posted by: Chris KC - 28-07-2024, 04:38 PM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (7)

Self explanatory I hope - hoping to fit an MA speedo but one nut is missing - anyone know what thread it is?

M4 perhaps?

I've exhausted the odds & sods box and found nothing which will go on properly; Google likewise unhelpful.

  Rapid plug failure in Chummy
Posted by: PeterN - 28-07-2024, 01:18 PM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (20)

I have a 1930 Chummy with a 1934 engine, high compression head and L86C Champion plugs.
I don’t do many miles but on the last couple of runs of less than 5 miles one or more have failed. Definitely plug failure as I’ve done the screwdriver to block test to check. Today I replaced 2 and 3. Previously it was number 4.
Timing might be on the over advanced side but when the plugs are good it runs and pulls nicely.
Any thoughts on possible causes or alternative plugs would be welcomed

  Wanted: Linkula oil pressure gauge
Posted by: Peter Johnson - 27-07-2024, 08:20 PM - Forum: Wants - No Replies

Hi all

Is there any chance that someone has a “Linkula” oil pressure gauge - the one that fits into the same hole as the oil button.

Many thanks

Peter
