Sidecar tyres are fine. The only issue I have with the Avons is the speed rating wasn’t as fast as my car goes.

The Avon Triple Duty Mk.2 Sidecar tyre has the lowest speed rating possible for a road tyre "L" - 75 m.p.h. The Brockey is an "S" - 118 m.p.h. Hence if you have a Seib sidecar on your Black Shadow with original wheels, you'd better be careful which you buy...

Interestingly in the corresponding section in the Motorcycle VIRM car tyres are expressly prohibited for motorcycle use (with an exception for side car combinations)
