The canvas covering is eminently sensible but it looks it’s best (in my opinion), when the roof framing is exposed fully - I really like the look, nice job.

Bob - first start - I think its still got a manifold leak somewhere presently! But it ticks over very low. I thought it sounded quite purposeful on the road. I did a bit of porting when it all got cleaned up. I'm thinking it just needs a bit of carbon buildup in side the new exhaust sections too.
Ruairidh - the 2 old rear windows would have been separate panes enclosed in ash, with hinge on each rear pillar. Above the tailgate. At present there is nothing at all so rear view unencumbered by anything. The roof top (or lack of it) doesn't really affect the rear view? I really wanted to avoid a drip rail as it hides all the curves of the woodwork.. one option could be polycarbonate panels which are removeable all the way round. But not for the doors.

Or just drive faster.

I like it! The shabby metal panels look just right, and the reg number painted directly onto the rad is a nice touch - very farmerish! It just needs a suitable load, how about a couple of ewes?

If that's the engine's first start up, leaving it ticking over like that is a sure fire way to glaze the bores.

Other than that, quite like the concept and the workmanship. Something that's pleasingly different.

If you glaze the side windows, you could just have a roll-up rear window made of hood material. A couple of leather straps to hold it in the rolled-up position, and secured with Lift-the-Dots onto the lower tailgate.

I see there’s a rear view from your earlier post, sorry I missed that.  I think the rear and top wooden members define the car and would be tempted to recess a leather cloth roof inside/below those - like a standard saloon roof - so those timbers can still be seen.

I would also consider leaded side windows, why?  Simply because you can and it would add hugely to eccentricity of the vehicle.

Have you considered the seats with canvas and electric bands (like the early 2cvs had) for the front?

These could be cut down to suit...
