What have you done today with your Austin Seven

My 1932 AG has "AG 1357" on the tunnel & not the chassis number - which is on the Chassis! The scuttle plates are pretty illegible!

My 1927 AD has a serial number which is "close" to the chassis number, on the transmission tunnel but doesn't match. Car and chassis have always been together. This is not the car number (A5 something or the other), chassis number or engine number!
My 1926 Top Hat has a 4 digit serial number on the tunnel.
Maybe as they made more tourer bodies in the early days, the serial numbers were higher?
