I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know the whereabouts of this car?

As far as I know it started out as an Austin Seven but was modified in the early 1960's into a sport car with a fibreglass body...dark Blue in colour
My father modified it when he was 22 - he's 83 now, and I'd love to talk to whoever owns it.

I can see it last had a V5C issued in 2007

I'd love to see a recent photo if it is still out there, always had a soft spot for individual specials...Interesting that there seem to be two iterations of the body, with/without screen and air scoop. Which came first I wonder?

Isn't that a Hamblin cadet?

The photo from the newspaper was in 1963, the colour photo was me in the same car in approx 1974...no idea who made further changes, whether it was my Dad or the chap he sold it to.
No, it's an Austin. My father built the bodywork from Fibreglass on an Austin chassis....maybe my Dad was inspired by the Hamblin Cadet...

Yes it a Hamblin, built one 25 years ago out of a complete body shell kit that I swapped for a door winder, really.

Rolyateel: just for clarity, the Hamblin Cadet was a kit of parts sold to bolt onto an Austin 7 chassis.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!
