... and a flash-back fifty years to the 1972 Light Car Race at Thruxton; Peter Gledhill leads Tony Jones and Dave Wortley. Behind Tony Jones' car is a blue chummy which could be Tony Griffiths - did you have a red helmet, Tony?

No, always white. Here's a shot of me at Thruxton (1970?) exiting the hairpin. The crank broke as I went through the circuit gates on my way home.
The other shot is you and David Wortley doing the compulsory wheel change during the 1969 VSCC one-hour high-speed trial at Silverstone.
