RH Renewal's
#1
Please be aware that renewal notices from RH are currently temporarily delayed - so if your policy is due for renewal contact RH - don't let it run out !

RH Insurance – service update
As from 1st January 2023, the servicing of RH clients’ policies will transfer from ERS (insurer of the RH scheme) to its parent company, A-Plan, at their next renewal date.

What does this mean for RH clients?
Your policy or policies will remain the same, as will cover, the renewal date(s) and insurer, which remains ERS. You will be looked after by A-Plan’s dedicated RH specialist motor insurance team, who are based at Birch Court in Worcester. The team fully appreciate the value of understanding each client’s individual needs, and can be accessed via the same contact details.

Here is a statement from Emma Airy Head of RH :-
"In the short term, you may notice your renewal documentation arrives a little later than usual so please bear with us. That said, we are still aiming to issue renewal terms within 14-21 days ahead of the renewal date and we are also attempting to speak to every client ahead of their renewal date thereby ensuring accuracy of information.

"The operational transfer represents a significant investment by
A-Plan in people, premises and systems with the objective to enhance client
experience. For example, we are now able to speak to our clients on an advised
(as opposed to non-advised) basis which means we can advise our clients on the
best products and levels of cover to meet their unique needs.

As always, any feedback is gratefully received and you can
contact me direct at:
emma.airey@rhspecialistinsurance.co.uk
or call me on 07956 232758 if there are any aspects of your motor cover, or
operational transfer, you would like to discuss. I’d love to hear from you”.

Footnote: A-Plan is
a long-established insurance broker with over 100 high street branches and
specialist insurance centres, looking after the classic car, motor, home,
business and specialist insurance requirements of many thousands of clients.
The business was founded in 1963, is now part of the Howden Broking Group, and
has a reputation for high standards of client service.

My RH insurance renewal arrived in the post yesterday, for renewal on the 19th.

I've just moved to Hagerty with my two cars. Good price, full European breakdown cover

I did fill in the form with RH for a quote, but heard nothing back

Good evening everyone,

I just wanted to provide some further reassurance around RH's determination, and commitment, to provide the best possible policy terms/conditions and service to all our clients.

If anyone wishes to discuss any aspect of their motor insurance I would be delighted to hear from them.

With all good wishes,

Emma Airey, Head of RH

Emma, you never seem to have resolved this issue where organisers of events ask us to sign to say we have Public Liability Insurance. RH do not include this cover apparently. Hagerty tell me they do. My renewal is due in 4 days.

A heads up here. I've just renewed my insurance with RH and the renewal documentation was riddled with errors, things that were correct on my previous policy documents. I'm aware of others who have had the same experience, hence this post. It sounds like the transfer to a new computer system has not gone smoothly. So if you are renewing your policy with RH, check everything very carefully. Some of the errors on mine were very fundamental to the insurance cover.

Just bringing this thread back up as I've been having quite a concerning experience with trying to renew my policy, and I'd echo other's in saying you need to check your renewals extremely carefully. As an example, the address of where the car's where was wrong (although postcode correct), engine capacity changed, and a car listed on the policy that was sold some time ago. It certainly does sound like a data migration has not gone well at all.

I'm also not sure why all the paperwork is being done by post now when email seemed to work perfectly well before? I've been unable to progress with my renewal as their systems are down currently, and my insurance renewal is rapidly approaching.

I'm not wishing to have a go, as I've always had good experiences with RH and I know full well that things sometimes go wrong that might well be out of your hands, but I do feel it important that people are aware of potential discrepancies and don't blindly accept their renewals thinking that nothing will have changed.

Hi Rupert,
I'm pleased to advise that the system is up and running again.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused today.
Kind regards,
Emma

Hi John,
I'm sorry to read that you had errors in your renewal paperwork.  Please don't hesitate to email a copy of your documentation to me - highlighting any errors - and I will work with the Team to resolve any outanding issues asap.
Kind regards,
Emma
