Unknown and Unsung Austin Personnel

I have just been talking to an elderly gentleman (87yrs young) - who lives locally - whose grandfather worked at Austin in the early years.  Apparently his grandfather was a clever toolmaker and did one to two significant bits on the Seven.  He was called Woods - but given the thousands that worked at the factory - he will be one of the unrecorded masses to whom we owe the quality of our cars?
