A must for your workshop

One of those things/products that you never knew how much you'd use it until you bought it.

I was doing a bodge on the engine mounting on my C15 van and bought a tube of "liquid rubber" from t'Amazon to replace the missing bit. It's great. Not only that, it doesn't go off once you've opened the cartridge (as long as you put the top back on) and it has a myriad of uses.

There are of course other brands & types available but I've found this one really good.  I've just put a smear round the rad cap today on the RP to stop it spitting at me.

Here's a link: here

Good also for filling the spaces in those solid state lectronic widgets.

I use a similar product Tigerseal. You can make items from gaskets to lumpy items of almost isolastic quality. Having just returned from France and their wonderful "quincailleries" I wish I'd seen your post before I visited. I'm continually amazed by the breadth and depth of ironmongery and equipment available in quantity in the Zone Artisanal in most small towns, not to mention the supermarkets.
Oh, and I didn't see an empty shelf in any of the supermarkets either...I've given up hoping for normal service to be resumed here.

It's very much bigger than we know....https://gizmodo.com/every-company-that-a...obal-en-GB  If regulators want to break up the 'Everything Store', they have a ton of work ahead.

I'm about to put my roof back on the RP (after being off since 1977), although clearly it will be "upgraded" with vinyl etc.  So I'm wondering if this rubber would be best to use for sealing around the edge.
Any thoughts?
Thanks Graham
