Stuck valve pins
#1
Sad
3 of the valve pins won't let go of their stems. Before I break out the Dremel, any tips?

I found on my Ruby that any tight ones came out with a small punch made from piano wire. That was after they refused to come out with the aid of narrow nosed pliers twisting and pulling.

John Mason.
Would you believe it "Her who must be obeyed" refers to my Ruby as the toy.

My RP, so some unfathomable reason, has pin type valves rather than the earlier collett type and I had a similar problem extracting the pins. I suspect the problem is that, over the years, they get slightly bent and jam in the valves. I used a fine pin punch to remove then and replaced them with new ones (available from cherished suppliers).

I had a lot of trouble extracting the pin but finally did it with a bit of persuasion from the hammer!
