Van out on test
#1
Got the van out on test today.

Took her over to the A47 autojumble.

Would be a shame not to use her for what she was made for.

So I put a small stall in the back.

The ladys on the gate were surprised when I asked for a stall pitch.

They should know better, its quality counts, not quantity Big Grin

I am going to have to do some work on the handling though,.

Tony.

Lovely job squire! I quite fancy one of those vans...perhaps claim it as a business expense.

Mate that’s a credit to you. If we hadn’t been away in North wales until coming home today would have been there. Looks cracking that

hi duncan,

why not. you could at least put it down as advertising.

joe,

you didnt miss much, only half the usual jumble, and the cars didnt quite fill the field in front of the stalls.

it did make me laugh, and a couple of people who were admiring the van. when an idiot pointed at a badge and sed how much. "my reply £8" what came back was HUH i can buy a motorcycle for that Huh

although my reason for laughing, is these are the idiots who run around grumbling that there is so much rubbish on stall. when the reason that poeple put out rubbish is because idiots like that, wont pay for the good expensive stuff. let alone an £8 badge.

3 people even advised i should be putting all the good stuff i had out on ebay Rolleyes

I am always interested in any information about Rosengart details or current owners.

Hi Tony

Great van and a lovely colour!

Regarding the handling.  Your not expecting “white van” performance are you?.

Cheers

hi howard,

when i say poor handling.

i meen trying not to kill myself, when i go over 20mph.

got to 35mph to ease the traffic behind me, scarey.

and i cant say its really safe under 20mph.

once the engine is back in the supersports, ill get back to the van.

Sounds like a tweak on the radius rods will have the handling sorted Tony...unless you had a dozen new blocks in the back of course!

I'll take that death-trap off your hands, Tony.

Hi mike,

I'd never forgive myself if you got killed in a dodgy car I've sold you

Ivor,

I've got to say the chassis was never fully restored, ie all new bushes etc.

I know there is good movement at the steering wheel. But it doesnt show that much movement at the road wheel.

I'll change what needs doing on the draglink, and the cups and pin at the radius arms. Then see what adjustment I can get on the column.

Them take it out for test again.

Tony.
