The thinking on producing hydrogen is that it will be done with excess electricity generated by wind turbines - ie at night when the domestic / industrial demand is low. Whether that could produce sufficient for the needs of a country that was largely using hydrogen vehicles is something i dont know, but there are plans to install more and more wind turbines in the North Sea and they are currently trialling a 150m high turbine with 130m blades.

There was a boy on the radio today saying that the wind is slowing down, it is slower now than it was 30 years ago!

Just think how many tons of loose copper wire you could put in the back of a white van 2AM on most city streets.

If some urchins can stoop so low as to steal the cables from the emergency back up generators at our local hospital, as has happened, all those loose cables outside will be chicken feed.
They only found the cables were missing at the hospital when they tested the back up generators!!
