100th Anniversary End to End run
#1
Registration is now open for the the End to End run over the Easter period in 2022.

There are a number of groups from around the country planning to do a run anyway as there have been 6 organised runs for Austin 7s to celebrate previous anniversaries. It would be good to have a further run to celebrate a  100th year of the Austin Seven.

This is a rough idea how it would be run
  • The car being driven must be derived from an Austin 7
  • Participants would be required to take a photo of their/the car at either end of the country (and in front of the Longbridge works if possible).
  • Photos to be taken as some time between the 7th and 24 April 2022. The extended period allows participants to use the week before and week after Easter, or potentially chose good weather.
  • No restriction on number of drivers (all listed on certificate. Young people to be encouraged
  • Can go from Lands End to John o' Groats, or John o' Groats to Lands End, or both.
To avoid any temptation to treat this as a race, a minimum time of 48 Hrs will be applied i.e you have to take more than 48 hours to get the plaque and certificate. It is a celebration of the Austin 7 and an adventure that will only appeal to a few.

Suggested Entry Fee      £25.00
Comprising

  1. Rally plaque for Bumper,
  2. Dashboard plaque
  3. Framed certificates for cars that complete the run- to include photos and names of all drivers

Obviously all cars need to be in good condition, all drivers need to be insured, fast roads and Motorways should be avoided etc
