1927 Austin Seven - Enzo Ferrari??
#1
According to a letter in Motor Sport (circa 1968) a D.J Cundy of Westcliff-on-Sea reported seeing Enzo Ferrari - who'd 'just bought a 1927 Austin Seven'.  Do we know anything about this, and why would the great man want 'an English toy' (there would have Topolinos aplenty one in Italy one would think if he wanted such a thing...).  Someone, somewhere must know something...

Adding Enzo Ferrari to the list of illustrious names associated with the Seven would be marvellous. Let's hope it can be verified.

And it would such fun to really pee off some of the more up-themselves Ferrari owners by telling them they owe their car's heritage to a 7. [Image: biggrin.png]

Didn't Ferrari buy the ex-Goodacre Mille Miglia Ulster, and enter it in the 1932 Mille Miglia?

Entered but didn't start.

Referred to in this link. Particularly see the post by 'Fuzzi' who contributes on here from time to time under his real name.

Ah! I remembered the broken crankshaft story, but didn't realise it occurred before the event!
