Hi Henry,

Yes I have a brand new one in the garden shed. ( I should have the instuctions with it )
Its a Schottky diode regulator made and marketed by Nick Plevin in the 80s / 90s

I had one on my special for 25 years with no problems, don't expect to much  output or it will fail.
When I had the Dynamo rebuilt 5 years ago I was advised to have a new cutout  with it as the Plevan one is quite old tech.

had one on my first ulster rep.

i was warned they can fail very easily, the early ones used to fail if the battery went flat??

i wired a connection on mine a bit to tightly, as usual trying to make a tidy job of it. one wire pulled loose, and it failed. put another one on. and it lasted forever.

Thank you Charles,
I have found my unit and two sets of instructions which are slightly damp !!
You have saved me a lot of swearing at computers in trying to post the instructions !!
