King pin reamer
#1
I am wanting to buy an Austin 1/2" king pin reamer, with the undersized pilot at one end.
If anyone has one surplus to requirements I'd be most interested.
Many thanks,
Colin

Hi Ruairidh
None of the usual suspects have any in stock, Seven Workshop, David Cochrane and Tony Betts are all out.

I bought a good and reasonably priced expanding king-pin reamer from Traceys Tools  - first class return-of-post service

I have a set of adjustable reamers, and they come with a set of screw on pilot extensions. These have a sliding cone centering device and are designed for line reaming king pins. The cone may need shortening to fit between the bushes on a seven. Not tried this myself as I have an Austin one.  Worth asking Tracys if they can supply pilots as well.

Thanks for all your replies. I shall investigate.

Update:

I discussed this with Drill Service
https://www.drill-service.co.uk/products...ith-pilot/
but concluded there wouldn't be room to install the pilot.

I have bought a long parallel reamer from Tracy Tools, although all they have is on a MT1 taper.

Incidentally, Tracy Tools have stock of the 1 3/8 x 16tpi die to refresh outer hub threads - £25.
