In a previous post of yours, "gaskets" 'Slack Alice' Simon stated that the M type pump secured its diaphragm with a nut rather than rivets. I found this site in Australia (https://classiccarbs.com.au/index.php?_r...rile-Sheet), which suggests what is needed is reinforced nitrile sheet. 1.5mm thick.
