Having succumbed to unreasonable harassment from Ian, Athow and various other "friends" here are some pictures of my variation on a theme. The design was based purely scrap bits had in the shed, a broken gear box lid, steering box, column, and NZ rail spanner.....no salvageable parts were used in the construction.

Does the lever reverse the direction of the gate or is there a pivot in the top of the gearbox cover?
