Ruby on it's wheels again.

After thirty years on axle stands my Ruby is now on the ground, on it's wheels again. Everything works now, it just needs a bonnet and doors finishing, and seats might be useful. Tempting to drive it!

Steady on there Andrew, you don't want to rush it in the last 10 years...

Seriously that's a very pretty little Ruby, keep chipping away at something every day and it'll be finished in time to take Beloved for tea on Valentine's day

Looking good Andrew, put a box in it and have a run up and down the drive for further inspiration!

Andrew
Would you be kind enough to give the measurements of the steel sunroof panel.
This is the sliding part.

Great stuff Andrew, I love the delicate lines of the Mk1 Ruby and it’s nice to see a plain black one, which will match my Box saloon, which is just a few months older than your car.

Go on, take it for a run up the drive!

It's been on the road since last March and I've driven it about 500 miles now. Here are a couple of photos from about 1985. The kids are in their forties now. Same wife, same house, same garage.
