Transmisson cluster roller/ball brgs conversion

Anyone have info  on machining cluster gear and case for roller/ball bearings ??   THANKS   STEVE  / Bantam Turbo

The needle rollers with external thin steel housing have surprisng capacity so the bore does not have to be hard, but why bother?Unless hardened just right the shafts pit and if size not just right rollers break up. Quite powerful cars have retained bronze bushes. (Use above oil level not always successful)

RACE  ENGINE  , ( raced at Bonneville Salt Flats ) ,   w/  Turbo ,   port injection ,  (custom stainless intake / exhaust manifold ) ..   Electromotive dead fire , magnetic pickup at flywheel ,  2 coil ignition ..    (2)  bottom of crankcase to block studs ,   3/8" ARP head studs w/ thread inserts , washers ,  12 point nuts ,   Ford Zetec stainless oversize valves w/ titanium retainers , custom valve springs w/ 40  80 # pressure  , lightened followers .  Cam bushings have restricted oil flow ,   NO CAM , ( have PAUL   B  make you one, he did mine )   gear oil pump 90# pressure ,   2 piece adjustable timing gear , HADLEY billet  crank, counterbalanced , full oil pressure rod bearing ,  w/ standard size bearings .  NO RODS ..   Custom .060 forged , wedge top , pistons , (8 to 1 compression) w/ total seal rings ..  Custom head for pistons..  Solid copper head gasket..

Steve, I suspect it's one of those trans-Atlantic things, but I'm not really understanding what you mean by 'cluster gear' bearings  - any chance of a picture?
