This must be a Willys/Overland/Crossley LHD car built in Berlin from SKD Longbridge components.
The mirror image engined cars were built by Dixi/BMW at Eisenach.

This weeks work

Or rather last week, I'm all behind!

I was still stuck waiting for the engine bits to return so decided to have a go at the front inner wings. Didn't have a lot of time last week as I had to work 2 1/2 days but managed to sort them out.

The offside wasn't too bad, some badly MIG'd over-patches had to be ground off and new metal let in properly. I don't usually bother to grind off the weld beads, they add character I feel!

Nearside was in a poor state though, the panel had been repaired several times and was in a bad way. I had to chop off the last inch and let new metal in and then bend it in the right place. I think it's OK, we'll see when I start fitting the front wings......

Fortunately, the balancing shop is back in business and rang at the end of the week, so I went down and collected the crankshaft/flywheel/clutch/rods assembly on Friday (observing correct social distancing rules of course). This week is all about engine rebuilding, which I want finished by Sunday. I have a couple of weeks left but I'm then back to work full-time in June......
