Austin Advocate Magazine
#1
Some time ago I found a website which displayed / sold prints of the Austin Magazine.  The site had most of the pre war covers, but now I can not find the site, I don’t suppose knows the site?

Thanks

It was probably the VAR site - apparently their archive has one of the largest collections of the Austin Advocate magazine - they say they're prepared to copy and supply prints for a modest fee plus p&p.

Douglas there's quite a lot of information on Austin Memories site, perhaps something there?  I have about 20 prewar Austin magazines from 1927 to 1937, what items or dealer ads are you looking for?   regards  Russell

So that is why they are hard to find Rolleyes

I have an original 1935 ? letter from the Austin Motor Company which was included in the 'special envelope'. It refers to the specimen copy of the Austin Magazine enclosed with other literature.
The Magazine was missing but I finally found a good complete March 1935 copy of The Austin Magazine and Advocate in Spain of all places.
It joins the Austin Warranty and card informing Purchasers about the no discount policy on prices fixed by the Austin Motor Company, which were also included in the special envelope (in the UK).

Cheers, Tony.

Hi Russell

The the hunt for the site was more to get a bit more colour on the walls of my study, I currently have the following.

Won the print in a raffle, nice image, my special was a Ruby once.

And this one which I can not recall how long I have had but it has a glass back so you can still read the cards (copies not original), there is a Ruby in there which after a number of months I forget were it is and then play hunt the Ruby.

I have just discovered that Gaydon sell the prints of some of the covers, for those who have not seen the Austin Advocate  Magazine try the link below.  Not the site I originally found.

I have copy of June 1936 which came with the DA7C Editor role (but not very inspiring image).

Also spotted these at Beaulieu today.
