I have a four piece chummy bonnet surplus to requirements as I purchased it thinking it would be correct for the my AE Chummy project, but as it turns out the sides aren't long enough as it's for an earlier chummy, and I'm reluctant to mess around with a solid original bonnet. I think this puts this bonnet in the '26 to '28 bracket.
It appears to be in sound condition, aside from a couple of minor cracks along the central hinge - I'd think this would be an easy repair. It's currently in a grey primer to prevent any rust but will obviously need fully sanding back and repainting.
Handles and the bits for the bonnet catches to attach to are present. Bonnet sides measure approx 10 1/4 inches (26cm).
I think I paid £150 or so for it, so wouldn't mind getting this back, although if you have a later chummy bonnet with the longer sides I'd certainly consider a swap. Ideally collection from Warwick, as I'm not sure how postable it'll be.
