Zenith 26 VA jet seat
#11
Thanks John
I've found that and it does look like both my carbs have that jet under the brass screw plug.
I'm still confused about the jet next to the slow running jet on the top face of the bowl. My old flat bottom float bowl has a jet and under it a tube of some type. My carb with the bowl with the two external tubes has the hole for this same jet but without a thread to fit anything.
I can't see it on the drawing and Im wondering if it was not used on this carb?.
Hopefully I've attached a photo of my 2 carbs . The one on the right being the one I intend to use as the spindle fits nicely. The one on the left is the flat bottom bowl type showing the extra jet

I believe John is correct in saying that the removable jet in the top of the float bowl is an earlier arrangement and the later carbs just have a casting where the “hole” is theoretically the right size so no need for the long jet.

I have noticed this on other Zeniths of the period.

Regards,

Stuart
