Long nose banjo torque tube
#4
Hi Hedd

Thanks for thinking of me.  I did get one although it was devoid of fittings. However I managed to find a brass oil thrower for the flange end and also to make a bearing lock collar (tested my little old lathe almost as much as my screw cutting skills  Big Grin). The cost of a full set of bearings made my eyes water a bit!

It’s in the car and I am really surprised by how much difference the 5.25 ratio makes compared to the 4.9.  I don’t notice any difference at higher speeds but at lower speeds and on inclines there appears a lot more torque, making the car more tractable.

Once again thanks

Cheers

Howard
