I'm sure this is well known by all, and my apologies if I appear to be trying to teach grandma how to suck eggs. The secret to setting hinges right when there is a pair, is to remove one face of the hinge and the asscoiated pins and replace the pins with a length of suitable rod to ensure perfect alignment in all planes. Otherwise, if any error is allowed to creep in, the doors will 'bind' when being opened and closed.
