Chummy exhaust

Please can somebody confirm whether the inlet pipe on these silencers fits over the down-pipe, or are the two pipes the same diameter, joined with a sleeve/clamp as per original Austin? I ask this because the latter is how our chummy is right now, and I'd like to know if the Seven Workshop silencer is compatible with my existing downpipe, which is in good condition. I don't want to order a new downpipe unless I really have to. After the bank holiday, I will contact Jamie and ask for the relevant dimensions etc., but it would be nice to know how this all fits together beforehand.
