Thanks all for your advice. I think I will go the route of building each front hub and then mounting over the stub-axle before tightening the castellated nut.

I will then take Alan's advice to use a roll pin (Not a split pin) to hold the castellated nut. obviouly it would be a straight drive once all the holes arelined up. I am hoping some 25mm by 3mm ones I have aquired will do the job. Hopefully I won't have to search out some imperial size!!

That's a job for Friday - I don't have a hydraulic press but know a man who does!!!
