Hi Tony It was good to meet you at the centenary and put a (bearded) face to a name.
I have friend here who could be interested in the lathe.  Michael Giddens.....not an A7 owner but a fellow Scimitar GTC owner.  He is going to phone you to get your impressions.  He lives near Fordingbridge so a fairish way to Chatham.  Hope it is ok for him to phone for a chat.....assuming it would be your at work number as given on the webpage.
