The Austin Seven Clubs' Association AGM was held on Tuesday 15th April. It was a very productive meeting.
A number of things were decided by the Clubs, namely:
1. Trade adverts for buying and selling cars will not be allowed in the Magazine.
2. Trade advertising rates will go up by 3% for 2026.
3. The treasurer’s budget for 2025 was approved.
4. The Magazine will increase in price from £2 to £2.05 (separate action on the implementation date of this has been emailed to all Club Secs).
5. Hugh Barnes was elected as Treasurer and Ahmed Abdel was elected as Webmaster, all other Officers were re-elected with the exception of Insurance Liaison Officer, a volunteer is still required to take on this role, although Nick Salmon has agreed to oversee it until that happens.
6. Advertisers will now be charged a fee so that they become Associate (Advertising) Members of the Association.
7. The Stanley Edge Memorial plaque vote was postponed to a future date.
8. Clubs agreed to donate £1250 to the Devon Club’s Young Driver Initiative.
