I  had to do very little fettling around the hinges. One door needed packings between door and hinge, and in places I had to grind the edge of the door back then weld the edge. And I had to do a cut and shut at the top back corner of the window frame. The body is not to perfect shape and dimensions -  I made the door fit the hole.

That’s a great help
It is thought that most sevens originally had each door made to fit specifically for that body.
So perhaps my car had a replacement at some time.
