According to the V&P website, the car is now sold, so someone has fallen for it.

May be just doing the 'Rounds of Dealers'....seen this happen a few times, when one can't sell a car and 'over a drink' swaps it for another and so on +/- cash. I think its to avoid stagnation and 'loss of face' re. failure to sell at requisite price!

some dealers keep track of what is posted on club forums like these (at least I know that it happened on a guitarplayers-forum in the netherlands) or are being kept informed by friends on such fora. So V&P might have become wind of the discussion here and thus have the thingy move on

Your dead right ? A car is worth what it sells for and if new owner does it to what he likes the best ? Specials are what they are made to be ! I'm building a special and are doing it to what I like not what anybody else wants if you don't like it don't buy it I say? But don't pull it to bits because you don't like it somebody will!

We were only 'pulling it to bits' because of the price; I agree it is a super little car, and at two thirds the price I would hve been tempted myself.
