RE: Tyres? - Renaud - 17-12-2020 (17-12-2020, 11:04 AM)Chris KC Wrote: 20 - 22 psi Renaud - no problem! ![]() So I note that pressure varies from 20 to 32 psi, depending I suppose of the tyres manufacture, but that's a large extent anyway. RE: Tyres? - Chris KC - 17-12-2020 Yes Renaud, I have read that Longstones need significantly more pressure than Avons - though no personal experience. RE: Tyres? - bobthompson - 18-12-2020 Thanks Guys - v useful opinion and guidance given - as usual! RE: Tyres? - Austin Nippy - 18-12-2020 Hi everyone, For what it's worth, I've put Longstone Tyres on the Nippy a couple of years ago. They work really well although the recommended 30 psi proved a bit "bouncy" at first. I now run them at 24 and they're great. Best wishes for Christmas and, hopefully, a better 2021...Nick RE: Tyres? - Nick Turley - 19-12-2020 I really like Longstone, the look, the ride and roadholding. Also I run them at 24psi. RE: Tyres? - dickie65 - 19-12-2020 I have a set of 3.25 x 19 Dunlop k70s on the 65 they actually fit in the spare wheel well inflated Not best on a Heavy Seven but fine on a light 2 seater. I also have a set of 3.50 x 19 Avon SM and a pair of 3.25 x 17 Avon SM which I use on the rear for tarmac hillclimbs Best time at Wiscombe with these on the back. |
