Sorting my fuel gauge and the float on the sender has been replaced with a piece of cork that has become extremely manky over the years, and so I want to replace it. I found this on ebay, which is about the right size (1 7/8" diameter by 1 3/8" deep). Has anyone found anything better that they could recommend please?

I found a brass float - think it was for an American vehicle - on Ebay.

Soldered it on as a nearly direct replacement.
